This year it was held the  5th international conference on Soil, Bio- and Eco-Engineering SBEE with online-onsite participation of researchers, practitioners, geotechnical and civil engineers, biologists, ecologists, geomorphologists, and foresters. During the three days conferences, there was placed to discuss current problems in soil-resource sustainability, soil erosion and slope-stability research. and how to address these problems using soil, bio- and eco-engineering techniques.

On site Giovanni de Cesare, president of our member Verein Für Ingenieurbiologie was in charge to represent EFIB in this international  event . Other members that were on site : Hans Peter Rauch( Boku),Stephan Hörbiger ( Boku)   André Evette ( Inrae and AGEBIO)   and online : Federico Preti ( AIPIN ) ,Paola Sangalli ( AEIP ) ,  among others. From these pages we would like to  thank  very much to Massimiliano Schwarz and its team : Dominik, Niels, Dora, Luuk . They are preparing a special issue of Ecological Engineering Journal “SBEE2020” for 2022.
